MRI with skin tags and kidney failure

MRI / NSF Client # 2239 - 30-40 yr old Female

 

Client was diagnosed with FSGS in 2003.  She had a MRI with contrast of her right leg done in 2005.She was hospitalized with almost complete kidney failure. Since the MRI, she has developed muscle pain, muscle contractions, pain in her hips, pain in her ribs, severe pain and burning in her back and stiff joints.  She has what she call "skin tags" on her legs.  She has darkened patches on her neck and under her arms.  Her skin is itchy all over her body.  During her quarterly blood work, the tech complains that her skin is difficult to get through.  She also states that her liver function is off.

 

Client is meeting with her doctors to discuss MRI & Gadolinium and whether a punch biopsy test is necessary or not.

NOTE: As of January 1, 2008, no MRI Dye Recall has been ordered by the FDA. FDA warning Reglan may cause Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) a rare side effect of long time Reglan usage. Reglan has been linked to Tardive Dyskinesia. Tardive Dyskinesia is a disorder characterized by involuntary movements of the arms and legs as well as facial twitching, frowns twitching of the face and tongue similar to Parkinsons disease.
